1. Fast Start-up - about 15 Seconds of start up after you log in. From turning on the unit to log in, about 35 seconds.
2. Enhanced UAC - UAC doesn't get on your ass about everything, but is still there to help you out in the process.
3. Libraries - Took a bit of time to get used to, but in short, it is like an advance favorites with 3 Defaults watching your Music, Your Pictures, and Your Documents.
4. File Restore - Like the System Restore, but for files! If you make a grave error on a document, then save it by mistake, you have the option to restore the file to the last known save. IDK if you can power off your PC, then Turn it back on and the restore file will still be there but it's very useful if you make an error and can't undo it after you save.
5. UI - The interface looks similar to vista, but kicked up. System Tray Icons can be moved or shut off completely, the pinned items to the Windows bar have new options, among a few things
6. WMP12 - The interface for Windows media player is split into 2 now, one page for Syncing, managing your library, buying music, and junk like that. The 2nd page is for Now Playing items, like your playlists and videos. Videos resize on playing them to their resolution and added support for MP4 files and h.264 videos (high definition) are included!
7. Windows Live Items - this is a new feature that was just added to the beta in an update so i'll get back to this one as i evaluate them.
8. IE8 - A nice step up of IE. Added functionality includes tab restore (re-open closed tabs in a new tab,) group tabs (opening links into new tabs group the tabs together by color) and Session Restore (if IE were to crash, your last session can be restored.) Overall, it feels faster then before and eaiser to get used to!
Downsides:
1. Compatability - Some progs are unable to run in W7, even in compatability mode. Some of these programs include Daemon Tools (a Sub for this is Elaborate Bytes' VirtualCloneDrive) and Skype Add-on V2.09 and below. Some hardware also fails to install (like kensington mouseworks unless ran unless XP compatability mode)
2. IE8 - The official version came out for vista already so I'm not 100% on the solidity of the prog. For the Beta version of IE8, Java can cause the program to crash and render your restore option useless since it would bring back that page that crashed. Also sometimes on start-up, the program freezes, but a quick restart will get it back running.
3. Hibernation - Whenever a W7 beta PC wakes from hibernation, errors start to pile up, including frozen progs, unstoppable progs and an increased chance of hardware failure. Pretty big, but easily countered by a quick restart or a hard shut down (hold down power button for 5+ seconds til the power goes out.)
This is but a small list of bonuses and negatives of W7 and an incomplete list since I can't use Touch or a lot of other features. I'll add more as I remember! XD
Now on to serious business! Confiker! Boy them dumb assess really pushed the envelope with this one. It's one thing to go after a small list of people on your own, but shotgunning the entire internet with this junk? Damn! Ok, besides my small rant on the internet bug, get yourselves protected! Keep your Anti-Virus updated, your Computer Updated, and keep an eye out for any strange Bull!

2 pages on the bug, keep yourselves informed! Microsoft and their partners released a tool to help in the removal of the bug from your computer and I have the tool for those who may not be able to get the tool due to being infected (one symptom is being unable to visit pages affiliated with Microsoft or Anti-Virus corporations.)
And with that, somewhat of a small recap of a Journal past:
Ya, i have to put this here! This month is full of special dates for me and some for history. Alot of my family is born in April! A few things are my Birthday (today, April 2nd), My little cousins's birthday (April 9th) and (this may seem weird), Princess Daisy's Birthday (April 19th). This month marks the 20th B-Day of the flower Princess!
Ok, keep safe today, and keep on moving! Don't Stop!
